Nick Darvill
Head of Operations
Nick Darvill joined New Era Foundation in 2017, he brings over 40 years of experience working within the criminal justice system, a wealth of knowledge dealing with young and adult offenders, victims of crime, and families affected by violent crime.
In recent years, he has worked closely with The Home Office and The London Violence Reduction Unit to support the expansion of DIVERT into six London Police custody suites
Nick has also supported the implementation of DIVERT into Thames Valley and Lancashire, introducing twelve community club organisations from local professional football clubs to deliver DIVERT throughout Thames Valley and Lancashire.
Prior to joining The New Era Foundation, Nick spent six years leading and developing the crime reduction programme at the award winning Charlton Athletic Community Trust. He remains committed to the work of The Rob Knox Foundation to raise awareness of the consequences of knife crime.
Nick is also the holder of the UEFA ‘A’ Football Coaching Licence and has focused his coaching career on the development of young players towards the professional game.
He is a life long West Ham United supporter, and a passionate advocate of The Premier League’s ‘No room for racism’ campaign.
